This fresh fruit, berry infused, sweet red wine sangria is just what your next summer barbecue, or Saturday night needs for some serious party punch. It is as delicious as it is easy, plus with the exception of the fruit you choose to infuse it with, contains only two ingredients. So, are you ready to chill and enjoy?!
For the Sangria recipe, you will need a bottle of red wine (preferably Merlot) and 2 cans of Zevia brand non-gmo GingerAle. Then, add your choice of organic fruits. We opt for a frozen organic berry blend (blackberries, strawberries and blueberries) and organic diced apples. The frozen fruit allows for a bonus chill factor to keep your Sangria cold for hours. Once in a while, we even find the organic blend at Costco, so yum! The bag makes a great staple mix in for smoothies too, so the fruit never goes to waste around this pod!
Now in 3wholepeas fashion, we suggest you opt for organic wine when making your Sangria, but the reality is, any favorite red wine will do. We just like to keep the sulfite concentrations low.
